- Some counties need visa to Botswana

- Nights and mornings can be cold, in winter months (June - August) very cold; take warm clothing
- Internet access only in the towns, during safari trip no access possibilities
- No telephone coverage in the bush, safari operators use emergency radios or satellite phones
- Safe drinking water is provided
- Toilets and bathrooms are provided, even in the bush
- Rains can occur between November and March - mostly short thunderstorms
- October - February is the hottest period
- Take your binoculars
- Take your photocamera with enough films, cards, batteries, UV filters ...
- Recharging batteries is possible from time to time
- Take UV protection for your skin
- Take the sunglasses
- It is good to have a cap or sun-hat
